I am also a "soon to be" MARATHON RUNNER!
This year I will be breaking my perfect 100% NON-attendance record to run the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon for the first time - and I am running it for a reason.
Every year since living in Singapore (6 now) I have enrolled in this race, and every year without fail I have not turned up to run! There have been a multitude of reasons, some of them plausible ...
However, this is the year people - we are doing it for the kids!

I too, am a "soon to be" MARATHON RUNNER!
My wife is never one to do things by halves, the term "middle ground" doesn't seem to feature with her, and I usually get dragged into her adventures in one way or another ... so here I find myself conned into training for and looking forward to running my first marathon.
We decided if you are going to get up at 4am on a Sunday morning and run THAT far, it may as well be for a very good reason!
